Harvard Museum of Natural History

Conceptual Brand

Identity | Print, Digital

A conceptual rebrand of one of my favorite sights in Boston, this identity of the Harvard Museum of Natural History is a synthesis of the three museums that make up the Harvard Museum of Natural History — the Museum of Comparative Zoology, the Harvard University Herbaria, and the Mineralogical and Geological Museum.

In the same way that the three museums are brought together, each emblem is combined as one to encourage comparative learning and evolutionary exploration of our natural world, and used as seperate elements to excite kids and adults alike. Much like the exhibits at HMNH, the pieces of the identity are made to break out of its structure to aid in wayfinding, establish the content of the museums, and promote curiosity in its visitors.
